I wish for... Fur, Fur & more Fur

For starters, no I don't condone the killing of animals for fur! I am a HUGE animal lover, so if I wear fur its absolutely fake! Moving on... Fur is everywhere this season. We see a lot of fur coats, which I'm not too big a fan of. It can be a bit much on a daily basis, & is only worth it if you attend lots of fancy Gala's when you can get use of out it. So, if you are like me & you love fur, then what option to you have? Fur Scarves! Oh yes, the ultimate perfect fashion statement. Fur is not only extremely warm but also looks fabulous to dress up any outfit you wear. The good thing about these fur scarves that I picked out is they are totally affordable. When you buy faux fur it ranges from anywhere between $20-$60 a piece... perfect.

I know you're dying to go out and buy one of these as a new years present to yourself, so go ahead! Make a new years resolution to yourself to have a fabulous 2011, full of lots of trendy fashion. Don't be afraid to try new things.

Cream is the word

It's winter, it's cold out & it's only natural to want to reach in your closet for all black. Black sweaters, coats, dark jeans, all dark colors etc. It's gloomy outside so it does seem to match the mood. However, this year we are seeing many designers enforcing the use of cream & winter white in their wardrobe. Everyone seems to think its not allowed to wear any light colors come winter because it isnt seasonal. However, cream & winter white are both very appropriate & very trendy. Don't be afraid to wear cream tights with your dress, or a cream dress, big cream wool coat, & nude pumps. Just because it's winter doesn't mean you aren't allowed to make a statement. When you dress it up with cream & you walk into a party/bar you are sure to be spotted. You'll stand out from everyone else who just threw on all blacks & browns. Trust me I love black just as much as the next girl because it always matches, & it's always flattering. But even I have started slowly converting to the way of cream. It's almost too good to be true...

Of course there are so many fabulous cream coats out this season as well..

So it's winter & people say you can't wear white after labor day. This is totally & completely UNTRUE. Rocking some winter white skinny jeans with some boots & chunky sweaters is hot hot hot. Don't be afraid to do this pairing just because you don't see others. It looks great, & is completely allowed.

Alright so its obviously I love cream & white colors. But really, don't be afraid to wear these colors proudly in dresses or pants, or coats! They really make you pop out and stand out from all the black & grey that we see everywhere.

Happy Holidays to everyone

All I want for Christmas is... SHOES

Since Christmas is coming up, I think it's only fair that I work on my wish list. I promise I've been a good girl this year, so hopefully Santa decides he wants to deliver. I love clothes, but my true love in life is absolutely shoes. A pair of perfect heels can do more then just life your spirits, it can completely bring your soul back from the dead. I die for a fresh new pair of Louboutins! In the never ending fashion world it's hard to choose just an elite few that make the best shoes. Everyone has a slightly different opinion, but if you ask me I have a couple of designers i would LOVE to get my hands on...

1. Yotam Solomon: Yotam is relatively new to the shoe world. But his shoes are so fresh & unique, he has the eye to spot up & coming fashion like no one I've ever seen before. Sooo this is why on my wish list, #1 would be a pair of pumps from mister Solomon himself :) So chic, so classy.

2. Brian Atwood: Brian pretty much flew on the shoe scene within a matter of months & became the obsession of almost every celeb you can imagine. Rachel Zoe new he would amazing from the day she met him and boy was she right. Not only is he one of the sexiest designers out there, his shoes are built to match. Brian uses a lot of simplicity matched with some chic signature looks. If you see his shoes you can spot them a mile away that they are his design. Complete love.

3. Giuseppe Zanotti: I don't even have the words to describe how much i love the shoes from this collection. All completely breath taking. It's the kind of shoe you want to buy & then put up on your bookshelf to simply stare at because they are so beautiful. Giuseppe's will always please every taste because they have a range of funky to things a little more low key. Amazing.

5. Yves St. Laurent: YSL has absolute timeless style. It is the definition of classic. These shoes will push the folder just a bit, but overall have a beautiful polished classic style. I am DYING for a pair of YSL's

6. Christian Louboutin: Ok we all knew these HAD to be on my list. How could you ever leave Louboutins off a shoe wish list? They are the Hallmark of fabulous shoes. The red bottoms are impossible to miss just incase you didnt realize they were Louboutins by the amazing craftsmanship. My heart is completely, 100% indebted to Christian's work. Not to mention the lifetime repair policy. Anything goes wrong with these beauties, and a craftsman will repair them back to perfection for you. It's an investment that is well worth the price tag. Always beautiful, always flawless, always timeless.

These arent too much to ask for huh? At least its some good eye candy to stare at & wish for during Xmas time. I hope everyones holiday wishes come true :)

Patterns, Patterns, everywhere

So its Saturday night, your staring into your closet aimlessly looking for an outfit to wear out. It's freezing outside so you opt not to go for a skirt/dress. Your tired of the same old skinny jeans, so what now? If you answered Leggings you are right on key! My current fashion obsession is the amazing patterned leggings out this season. I know every girl owns about 20 pairs of leggings in black, brown, and probably grey. What I'm loving this winter is all the great wild patterns everywhere. Don't be scared to throw on the flower patterned leggings with a pair of patent pumps & a baggy silk top. That look is on fire right now. We're seeing celebrities stepping out in these funky leggings & we saw this on the runway quite a bit too. It's a little risky, but completely worth it. And now, the fun part... some pictures of these great finds!

These are definitely bold statements, but they look awesome when you rock them with confidence! Its always a sure bet to pair them with some pumps and a solid colored shirt. Never wear a top with it that has any kind of pattern on it because it will most definitely clash with the leggings. You always want one statement piece & everything else to simply compliment and highlight it.

So there you have it. My love for leggings has been a long time growing & with all these awesome prints out this season my love is only growing stronger. Enjoy it while its around guys, take advantage to be a little out of the box.

Style your Man

Alright, so the age old question from men is always "What should I wear to impress a girl" or "What is in style and fresh for guys this season?" Trust me boys if you want girls to notice you, then you must dress to impress. We put a LOT of time into getting ourselves weekend ready so we love it when you put in a little extra effort. Sure a button down & some jeans is nice, but really... give that extra touch. I promise we love it. This goes for girls also, if you are looking to spice your man up a bit with for Xmas, I have a few of this Winters greatest looks!

First thing's first, the winter can get cold (even here in SoCal). Most guys will wear a long sleeve shirt and maybe a jacket (we all know its hard to get guys to admit they're cold..) This winter switch it up with these amaze chunky sweaters. It's a little preppier if you throw on a scarf with it (so cute), but even without it they look great. Chunky sweaters are warm enough some days to wear on their own, or throw a Pea Coat on top to complete the look. Here are some of my fav looks

D&G

Alright, moving on! If you have been paying attention you've noticed the military look is trying to make a bit of a comeback. One look I like for guys with this feel is the Military-themed watches. They are a blend of rugged & sexy all wrapped in one. It's not your classic polished watch but it has a great manly feel.

Burberry $495

Most guys I see out are almost always wearing jeans! Jeans, jeans, jeans. Yes, jeans are great for a lot of ocassions. However, this season switch it up with a pair of fitted khakis. No, not just ANY khakis. The fitted khaki's we are seeing this season are made from a thicker material. Thick khaki, a bit skinnier fit, and also in a lot of great colors. Don't be scared to wear some green, maroon, or blue khakis this winter. You can pair some navy khakis with a grey chunky sweater and INSTANTLY you went from your usual boring jeans & tee look to a stud.

Next up?? ...skinny ties! I know some guys have already been rocking this look, but a lot of men still prefer the usual thicker ties. I promise you if you invest in some skinny ties it will be well worth it. The good news? You can throw these on with nice jeans and a button down to dress it up, AND you can wear it with a well tailored suit and it will look polished. It's basically the best of both worlds. And for guys, a tie that can be versatile like that is a win/win.

Alright Ill try to contain myself for one post, not to overload. So for a recap, if you are a guy looking to add some extra style to your wardrobe to dress to impress then check these suggestions out. Slowly filtering in a new extra sweaters, investing in a new watch etc.
If your a girl wanting to dress up your man these are also safe choices. He will love you for having something new, and you will love him rockin his amaze outfit when your out together. You can show him off.. greatness for everyone.

Enjoy loves!
