Ready or Not.. Velvet is coming

I love velvet everything. I remember being a little girl and owning multiple velvet skirts & dresses. And now, it looks as if my wish will come true and velvet is making a comeback in the Fall 2011 lines (crazy to think of Fall clothes, I know). Not only is velvet coming back in the usual dresses, pants etc, but much to my excitement also in SHOES! Oh yes ladies, you heard right, Velvet shoes! We saw many designs on the runway this year & they are all ah-mazing. Of course the velvet crazy wont stop at shoes. We will see velvet handbags, velvet hair bows, and velvet necklaces. Yes... ALL VELVET! If you hate Velvet, well.. I'm sorry to hear that. Because it will be everywhere.

Yurman .. New Brand Image

In the wake of the economic downfall, what does a powerful jewelry house like Yurman do? Oh, just make their jewelry more fabulous and equally more expensive! Yurman, known mostly for their Cable collection is currently made up at 75% of silver jewelry (this including the Cable), and only 25% gold. Yurman will be revamping and changing their line, setting to up their gold collection to be a full 70% of the brands offerings. This will mean a huge clean-out of their silver pieces, and an even bigger addition of Gold. David's wife Sybil (co-founder of Yurman), has had an obsession with fireworks, and this obsession will flow into their Gold launch with a Starburst collection featuring pieces that resemble fireworks in the sky. As a Yurman lover I can't say I disagree with their change in image. They want to get away from the image of teens and their multiple Yurman cable bracelets, and sway more towards the older crowd. The solid gold pieces will hike up their price points greatly, leading the way to become more competitive with higher end lines of jewelry.
So what do you think, would you buy the new Yurman, or do you think a change is bad? Hmm..

Got to have Naven

My heart flutters every time I see a Naven dress. I can practically spot Naven from a mile away, and when you see it, you just KNOW. What makes these dresses so utterly perfect? The fit, amazing colors, unique cuts, and most importantly its all Silk and shimmers with each step. All Naven dresses have a signature look. There is a certain cut which comes in many to die for colors. My favorites are the electric blue, and the pop pink. But realistically picking a favorite color is like picking your favorite child (impossible).

Feast your eyes on what I consider the utmost eye candy.
