For starters, blogging from my new iPad is making my urge to write daily even bigger.. Get ready for lots of updates!! Now... On to white. If the fashion world followed the rules every year then technically tomorrow's celebration of Easter would also include the first day that you are allowed to wear white again. White pants, shoes, shorts get the official thumbs up to be worn. Also all those pretty pastels you love are also now ready to be shown off! However this fashion year went quite differently. Winter white was picked up as a huge trend in itself and white became the platform for runways everywhere. We saw white being worn religioiusly as early as Janauary. Talk about a change of events! I personally love white and love soft colors so this was my kind of trend... I jumped right in. For those of you who played by the rules however you can indulge in some white mania as of tomorrow morning. I have a few fav white pieces I think to be staples in every girls ensemble. You must have a white bag, white patent pumps, white skinny jeans & a white blazer (of course not all together). Here are some suggestions to get your summer closet ready!

Warning: Elie Saab and LOTS of eye candy
I don't normally do this, but I absolutely can't stop raving about Elie Saab's Spring 2011 Ready-to-wear line. If you haven't seen it yet then I can guarantee you will feel the same once you look through my gallery of looks. When I see a Ready-to-wear runway show chances are half the stuff I would never truly wear, or I am not completely satisfied by each piece. As I took a second look at the collection by Elie Saab I realized you could take any piece off the model right then & there, put it directly on me, and I would be in fashion heaven. Not one look isn't completely polished and breathtaking. I could not get over how smoothly the 70's vibe was tied into todays fashion. I see now why many celebrities are running to Elie Saab as a first choice for award show attire. I have lots and lots of eye candy to stare at so brace yourself..
P.S - Can we talk about how hard it was to pick out my top 20 looks out of 56... It was like having to pick your favorite child. Anyways, it's a lot of looks but I promise its worth every last second.

Diet Coke + Chanel inspiration
Karl Lagerfeld is not only the legendary creative director for Chanel, he is also producing his sophomore year collection of Diet Coke bottles. These fun bottles hit the shelves in June, and are completely fabulous. I can't lie I don't even like Diet Coke on a day to day basis, but these are irresistible. Gotta get my hands on a few of these.

Yotam Solomon
As a FIDM student, I look to FIDM grads that are making their mark in the fashion world as a huge inspiration. Mister Solomon is an amazing example of a recent grad who is already well on his way to Brian Atwood status. His shoes have already seen red carpets on the feet of Kim Kardashian, Stacy Keibler and many many more. Yotam is only 23 years old which is just amazing to see how well he is doing so early on in his career. He is the youngest designer to show at L.A fashion week & since his debut in 2007 he has skyrocketed in success being named L.A's top designer in 2009. Yotam creates some of the most beautiful pieces, including his shoes which are my favorite. Besides the fact that he gets major brownie points from me for having Hungarian roots, I love this designer because he is extremely humble.
Now on to the best part... some eye candy from Mister Solomon's latest collection..

Love for beads
I'm sure my friends can vouch for the fact that I am in love with anything that has tribal beading. I have my fair share of beaded shirts, or earrings that I have collected throughout the years (mostly vintage, or lucky finds). Up until now it hasn't been very common to find beaded necklaces, clothes, shoes, etc. However, I am more than thrilled that this spring is ALL about bright fabulous colors, including lots & lots of beaded accessories! I walked into Francesca's in Oxmoor Saturday and almost lost it when I saw their wide array of amazing beaded jewelry. Once i managed to regain consciousness I went into Macy's only to find more beads everywhere in the Impulse section. Beads have officially hit Louisville, KY and now is the time to accessorize with them! I can't possibly explain the extent of my obsession with beaded anything, and I will drop far too much denero to satisfy that craving. Lucky, most these pieces are quite affordable!
Need I say more?
I want it all
xoxo,
Christina
